Matt Long - World Renowned Sand Sculptor
This story starts with a professional sand sculptor who designed (and later patented) the tools out of necessity at a time when the only sand sculpting he practiced was once a year during his summer vacations in Cape May New Jersey.
How it all began:
From Matt: “Until I designed Can You Dig It Sand Tools, I was using sticks, shells and a few kitchen utensils to make castles in the sand. They were always clumsy to use and seemed awkward to work with. I needed something offset with better balance so I could reach all around my sand sculpture.
Nothing I tried worked suitably for making sand castles. I knew I could create better sand sculptures, but something was missing. I began to experiment with some wood scraps and after trying a hundred different designs, I settled on the most effective six tools later to be included in the Can You Dig It Sand Tools package!”
Today Matt is a world-renowned sand sculptor having won innumerable awards, carved sand for major corporations around the world and performed as a cast member of the Travel Channel Show Sand Masters for its two season run.
